Still, Dak Prescott should be able to pick up where Brock Purdy left off and shred the Eagles’ secondary, which has allowed 27 TD passes this year (15 in last five games), worse than anyone but the Commanders. HANK’S HONEYS: The Cowboys simply don’t lose at home although they did fail to cover against Seattle last week. IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Broncos and the over. The Broncos can get pressure and Justin Herbert, as frustrated as he is, doesn’t do well against pressure. Not so much the Chargers offense which can’t run the ball and is relying too much on a banged-up Keenan Allen. The Broncos’ defense has been pretty good since that debacle in Miami. Russell Wilson is a step up and his turnover troubles against the Texans were out of character. HANK’S HONEYS: The Chargers’ defense is 28th in yards per play because they give up the big play and that’s against a lot of suspect QBs. IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Seahawks and the over. Look for the Seahawks to keep this one close. As usual, it comes down to how Geno Smith plays and he played pretty well against a good Cowboys defense last week. Meanwhile, this is Seattle’s season as far as the Wild Card race goes. They can now take a deep breath and get back to hosting a divisional opponent whom they handled pretty well two weeks ago. HANK’S HONEYS: The 49ers are set up for a letdown after settling the score against the Eagles. IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Browns and the over. Beathard, who is nursing his own injury, a sore wrist, is going to find himself in third and long situations where Jim Schwartz will unleash his pass rush. With Trevor Lawrence (and Christian Kirk) likely down, the Browns are going to be able to load up against Travis Etienne. We’ll trust Joe Flacco to move the chains enough and manage this kind of game. HANK’S HONEYS: Projected wind gusts as high as 35 MPH make perfect conditions for the Browns defense after a couple of tough weeks on the road. IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Bears and the under. The legs of Fields could be more important the arm of Jared Goff, who usually struggles in cold weather. Forecasts call for up to 30 MPH winds, which would blow the explosiveness right out of the Lions’ offense. Chicago is coming on since Justin Fields returned to the lineup and it’s become hard to trust the Lions’ defense as the season has gone on. HANK’S HONEYS: While you’d expect the Lions to take the Bears seriously after almost blowing it the first time, the Bears, coming off their bye, have to be eager to get the Lions in their stone-cold lair after proving they could play with them. IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Panthers and the over LIONS at BEARS Dennis Allen is 5-16-1 ATS as a coach for his career. If he takes his usual risks downfield, the Panthers will have a chance at some turnovers. Carolina’s defense is sneaky good with a pass rush that get after Jameis Wilson. That would give Bryce Young some wiggle room. New Orleans has lost its run-stuffer in DT Malcolm Roach and the Panthers, who have rushed for 133, 96 and 110 yards behind Chuba Hubbard in their last three games, should be able to do enough against a team that has allowed 4.8 ypc over the last three weeks. HANK’S HONEYS: The Panthers can manage this divisional game into a close one. IF I WERE A BETTING MAN: Bengals and the over.
